Horizon Sopyrwa is the leading agri-processing company in Rwanda, specializing in the production and marketing of Pyrethrum, Potato seed multiplication, and essential oil products. Located in Musanze District, which is known for its volcanic soils, high altitudes, and favorable rainfall distribution, the company benefits from ideal conditions for growing pyrethrum.
The company is a significant player in the global pyrethrum industry, processing more than 15% of the global production of pyrethrum pale extract, which is derived from the flower. In response to increasing demand for essential oils, Horizon Sopyrwa expanded its operations in 2016 to include the cultivation of other aromatic plants and now offers a range of high-quality essential oil products
The company operates a state-of-the-art refinery that produces top-quality extracts, many of which are exported to the United States and Europe. With plans to intensify marketing efforts, Horizon Sopyrwa aims to attract more buyers for their emerging cash crops and extracts.
